Recover Retention Artifacts

Summary: Used in conjunction with Model Import Options#Retain Entity Models.

Details: When a FACE model is imported into Phenom, some nodes may be removed. However, these nodes can be recovered if the Retain options were selected during import.

The reintroduced nodes will preserve their FACE UUIDs and namespaces. The types of nodes that can be reintroduced include:

  • CDM Queries
  • LDM Queries
  • LDM Entity Model - logical entity, association, composition, and participants
  • PDM Entity Model - platform entity, association, composition, and participants

Details: When retained nodes are reintroduced, their attributes are preserved. However, the model structure may have changed over time and the reintroduced nodes may be updated to meet FACE-conformant standards. By re-saving the Retention Artifacts, the new updates will be stored and can be recovered again on subsequent FACE exports.
