PHENOM Updates
Quarterly Updates
Skayl provides updates for on-site installation of PHENOM on a quarterly basis; these updates include features and bug fixes implemented in the application during the previous quarter.
Each update is provided as a zipped file bundle with a Bash script that applies the update with minimal user input. The exact update installation commands are provided with each update, but, in summary, the customer must be able to perform the following steps:
- Download the zip file from the provided URL, either directly on the machine running PHENOM or on a machine able to move it into the machine running PHENOM.
- Unzip the update within the operating system running PHENOM
- Navigate into the unzipped update directory
- Run the update shell script
- Have access to the ‘phenomadmin’ user password and local database password (set up at initial installation)
Inter-Update Patches
While Skayl is dedicated to the stability and reliability of PHENOM, it is ever evolving to meet customer needs and may encounter occasional issues. When these provide critical impediments to usability or customer success, Skayl may provide a code patch to fix the offending problems. These code patches are delivered in a format identical to that of the above-described quarterly updates and have the same installation process.
